Yard Pre-Check-In
Real-Time Yard Management
Introducing Yard Pre-Check-In, designed to enhance the efficiency and convenience of yard operations. This solution empowers drivers with mobile self-check-in, eliminating live queues and significantly reducing wait times.

Yard Pre‑Check‑In is a mobile self‑check‑in solution that lets drivers submit arrival and delivery details before they reach the gate.
It reduces queues and enables faster, low‑touch entry including automated gate access when connected to ANPR and barrier controls.
Challenges our solution solves
Manual processes slow down arrivals
Paper-based registration and gate-side data entry create unnecessary steps. When every driver must be processed manually, queues build quickly and yard operations lose valuable time.
Long waiting times disrupt drivers’ schedules
Delays at the gate make it harder for drivers to stay on schedule and can affect subsequent collections and deliveries. Congestion also creates a frustrating arrival experience.
Inaccurate data creates further inefficiencies
Information captured manually can be incomplete, inconsistent or entered incorrectly. Yard teams then spend additional time verifying details, correcting records and resolving avoidable issues.
Language barriers complicate communication
Drivers may not speak the local language at the yard, making instructions harder to understand and increasing the risk of delays, errors or repeated clarification at the gate.
Limited visibility makes planning difficult
Without advance check-in information, yard teams have little insight into which drivers are arriving and when. This limits their ability to prepare resources, coordinate movements and manage peak periods.
Key features
Mobile self-check-in
Drivers can complete check-in from their mobile device before they arrive. A simple digital process replaces manual registration at the gate and helps keep traffic moving.
Customizable check-in forms and workflows
Yard administrators can tailor forms to capture the information required for each site, carrier or delivery type. Configurable workflows ensure every arrival follows the right process.

Real-time arrival dashboard
Yard teams can see expected arrivals, completed pre-check-ins and driver information in one central dashboard. Live updates help teams prepare for incoming vehicles and coordinate yard activity.
Automated gate entry
Connect pre-check-in with ANPR and barrier controls to verify registered vehicles and open the gate automatically. Drivers can enter without stopping at a manual checkpoint.
Benefits
Reduce queues and waiting times
Drivers complete registration before arrival, reducing congestion at the gate and helping vehicles enter the yard faster.
Improve the driver experience
A straightforward mobile process removes unnecessary paperwork and waiting. Drivers spend less time checking in and more time focused on the journey ahead.
Support drivers in their preferred language
With support for 28 languages, Yard Pre‑Check‑In helps drivers complete the check-in process in a language they understand. This reduces confusion, avoids repeated clarification at the gate and creates a smoother arrival experience.
Increase operational visibility
Instant updates on expected arrivals and completed check-ins give yard teams a clearer view of incoming traffic, supporting better planning and coordination.
Capture more accurate data
Information is entered directly by the driver using structured forms, reducing manual input and the risk of errors or missing details.
Lower operating costs
By reducing manual gate administration and repetitive data entry, yard teams can manage more arrivals with fewer resources while improving overall efficiency.
How it works

1. Share the pre-check-in link The driver receives a link before arrival by email or message, or accesses the pre-check-in page directly from a mobile device via QR code.
2. Complete the digital check-in form The driver submits the required personal, vehicle and delivery information in advance. Customizable forms ensure the yard receives the right information for each site and type of arrival.
3. Review upcoming arrivals Submitted information appears in the yard dashboard in real time. The yard team can see who is expected, verify details and prepare the right resources before the vehicle arrives.
4. Confirm the driver’s arrival When the vehicle reaches the site, the pre-check-in is matched with the arrival. This reduces manual registration at the gate and helps the driver move through the entry gate faster.
5. Automate entry with ANPR With the Pro package, ANPR identifies the vehicle and checks its number plate against the registration. Once verified, the connected barrier opens automatically for a seamless, low-touch entry.
