Real-Time Yard Management
Our solution brings together planning and real-time data so yard teams can keep operations moving even when reality diverges from the plan.

Real-Time Yard Management (RTYM ) turns yard chaos into a live, actionable. Every truck, dock and resource is always in the right place at the right time.
With real-time ETAs, statuses, and alerts, teams can spot disruptions early and keep work flowing. Automated re-planning helps smooth peaks, cut dwell time, and boost throughput. The result: faster turnarounds, less manual chasing, and a yard that runs on facts, not guesswork.
Challenges our solution solves
Prioritization based on incomplete data
Registered and waiting vehicles are often prioritized using subjective criteria and incomplete information (e.g., missing ETA of approaching trucks).
Yard plans break down when reality diverges from the plan
Late trucks, broken equipment (forklifts/gates), sick staff, or damaged goods quickly make static schedules inaccurate.
Planning efficiency stops at the yard
If dock scheduling is used to plan goods receipt and dispatch, teams need the same efficiency and control at ramps during unloading and loading.
Manual check-in creates bottlenecks
Fragmented check-in processes lead to driver delays, resource inefficiencies, and poor visibility—impacting yard throughput and customer satisfaction.
Demand for reliable reporting
Operations need comprehensible performance and utilisation data (efficiency, punctuality, throughput) to manage proactively.
Key features
Pro-active updates & alerts
Early information about arrival times and deviations from schedule to support loading and unloading processes.
Automated re-planning
Integration and processing of real-time data and visibility statuses to identify bottlenecks early. Automated slot scheduling adapts to short-term changes to use capacity evenly and smooth peaks and troughs.

Yard Pre-Check-In made easy
Streamlined registration to reduce driver wait times and manual effort while improving operational visibility and lowering staffing expenses.
Entry Check API
Automated gate entry via the Entry Check API scans licenses plates to speed up check-ins and reduces gate congestion.
Dock assignment and SMS call
Assign a dock to a truck and notify the driver with a SMS message, including the option to verify and update phone numbers.
Flexible truck management
Reassign or recall trucks as needed, while viewing docks and warehouse areas, including parking.

KPI monitoring (approaching / waiting / processing) with full transparency
A complete overview of the current yard situation to maintain control of warehouse and yard processes. Clear data aggregation across processes and visibility into resource utilizsation and bottlenecks.
Benefits
Keep dock schedules aligned with reality
Use real-time truck ETAs to adjust dock schedules dynamically, respond to delays and make better use of available capacity.
Gain a complete view of truck movements
Monitor approaching, waiting and processing trucks in one customisable view to improve resource planning and day-to-day decisions.
Reduce waiting times and registration queues
Automate Yard Pre-Check-In to speed up arrivals, reduce manual work and get drivers through the gate faster.
Keep yard operations running smoothly
Assign, reassign or recall trucks as conditions change, helping teams reduce congestion and maintain a steady operational flow.
Improve dock and yard productivity
Reduce idle dock labour, resolve disruptions faster and keep loading and unloading workflows moving efficiently.
Create transparency for every stakeholder
Share real-time updates across teams to improve coordination, build trust and support faster exception management.
Communicate clearly with drivers
Send timely dock assignments and instructions by SMS, with the ability to verify or update phone numbers when needed.
How to get started
- Align scope & integrations Confirm the yard/warehouse processes in scope (inbound, outbound, cross-dock), required integrations (e.g., WMS/TMS/ERP, gate systems, telematics/ETA sources), and data availability for real-time visibility.
- Set up yard master data Define sites, gates/entries, docks/ramps, resources, operating hours, and working rules so the system can represent real-world constraints.
- Configure RTYM views & workflows Set up columns, statuses, alerts, and role-based views (approaching / waiting / processing) to match how the yard team works day to day.
- Enable Yard Pre-Check-In (optional but recommended) Configure driver registration and check-in flows to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and remove entry bottlenecks.
- Go-live with monitoring + exception management Start monitoring road-to-dock movements, use alerts for deviations, and establish a routine for re-planning when reality changes.
- Review KPIs & iterate Track throughput, punctuality, utilization, and dwell times; adjust rules, views, and processes based on observed bottlenecks.

“I am very interested in having real-time data thanks to the new system, which will support us with our yard management. It will help us to optimise our operations and generate added value for the carrier as well.”
